HRTC "Life line of Himachal"

"Courage is found in unlikely places."- J.R.R Tolkien
Collaboration of Government of Punjab, Government of Himachal Pradesh and Railways has given a birth to the transportation in Himachal. In 1958 it was Mandi-Kullu Road Transport Corporation which came into action. Roads were not highly constructed therefore driving buses through the hilly areas of the state was dangerous. When Punjab became an independent state in 1966, whole of the transport corporation of the state came under Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) on Nov 2, 1974.

Further state started working on the roads to make them superior for the buses. This plan worked successfully and lead to the different routes throughout the Himachal. Many villages, towns and districts got connected to it and people faces a smile of relief journey.

Shimla holds the corporate office of the HRTC whereas the divisional offices belongs to Mandi, Hamirpur, Shimla and Kullu. HRTC comes with 27 depots and 3 major body building unit through the state.

Day by day HRTC is touching the new heights and giving its well planned and safe service for the people. Today major buses like HIMSUTA (Volvo), HIMGAURAV, HIMMANI (Non AC Delux), JNNURM enrolled for the service and are active of different routes. HRTC buses are not only connecting routes in its state territory but also with its native places. It connects Delhi-Leh, Delhi-Manali, Chandigarh-Kinnuar and many more site.

HRTC has made travelling easier and comfort for the people but unfortunate the job for the pilot and conductor is still under risk and hardworking. They bears the danger almost everyday. Drivers comes with the responsibilities for not only his life but the bus and its passengers too. Driving through a narrow road and the hilly areas is such a job of bravery. Drivers and conductors always stood forward for their job passion. They worked almost for 12 hours or sometimes even more without any extra amount of incentives in their salary. Even sometimes they have to bear without salary for months.

Keeping on themselves in every kind of situations without sleeping for hours, no matter what the weather is rainy, summer or a chilled night and making them tough and strong. Staying away from their families for months and not getting holidays even on festivals or other occasions are cause of worry for them. They always stood forward for their life risking job therefore the corporation of HRTC should have to think about their daily life and the incentives as well. We, the people of Himachal really proud on our HRTC employees who are consistently and frequently giving the service to their statehood people.
  • Mr. Bali transport minister of Himachal Pradesh has announced to introduced the incentive soon for the employees of HRTC and meeting all the facilities to make the journey of people more beautiful, safe and comfortable.
  • He has also announced about the wifi alliance with Reliance to provide wifi facilities in almost major bus stands of the state.
  • Introducing female employees in HRTC soon will be a great step.
But somewhere again the HRTC is lacking to give service to its own employees. We all have a great hope that these barrier and such tough barricades will be broken soon.

World Malaria Day 2016

World Malaria Day (2016)

Malaria a world wide disease scattered around the world and has made its strong grip over many countries. A disease which generally spread from a bite of female mosquito called Anopheles has raised the death toll in human beings from last couple of years. Biggest countries like Brazil, USA, China, India are one of the leading countries who are surviving against the disease. Every year thousands of people died of malaria and that is the reason today all of the countries through out the world are united to rout out the challenging disease and make the world a beautiful heritage.

Since 2007, April 25 is celebrated as World Malaria Day to make people aware about the consequences and the mistakes of human. Mosquitoes generally grows in sewerage water. The water which is stored on the roof into vessels for few days leads to birth of these Anopheles and the Aedes mosquitoes. Poor people who resides into hut or jhungis near to the runell are mostly chased by malaria.
Anopheles Mosquito

Zika a name of dangerous virus  same to malaria and belongs to same family disease. Zika which spreads via female mosquito named Aedes is in news these days from couple of months. Brazil, parts of America, Parts of Africa are the top most affected areas by this virus. History belongs to 1947 when the very first case of this virus was found in monkey in Uganda. Aedes are the mosquitoes which are mostly found on equatorial region. Headache, muscle pain, fever, joint pain etc are the few symptoms of this disease. Zika mostly affects the pregnant ladies and the disease can easily transmit to the baby child from his mother at the time of birth.

Malaria, Yellow fever, Zika, Dengue etc are few common diseases caused by the mosquitoes. The issue of malaria has been raised in UN and the countries are participating into the same by contributing on malaria day.  UN has decided to make every single people aware about the disease and to follow the instructions made by World Health Organisation.
Theme of the malaria day 2016 is to "End Malaria for good" has been set by WHO. Of course,WHO has taken the initiative to eradicate the disease though out the world.but some where we should also lead with our responsibilities and should give our contribution, then only it will be possible to end up a killer disease.

How we can prevent malaria:

  • Stay in a clean area
  • Make the area clean and clear around you
  • Use mosquito bed net for precaution
  • Use anti mosquito gel
  • Don't let water to be store for many days at a single place
  • Use mosquito killing smoke                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       These are the few steps which we are required to look upon then only we can meet a fresh and Malaria free environment.

World Earth Day

46th World Earth Day (2016)

Today we all are surrounded by vehicles, laboratories, factories and many more hazard places which are responsible for pollution. Waves like radio signals, infrared, ultraviolet spoiling the atmosphere. Contaminates released from the hazard places in form of smoke or sewerage mixed with the air and water. These pollutants of air and water makes the environment stagger which is the biggest cause of diseases like Asthma and many more.

Only one third part of the earth has land and rest is in water. The forests are the most creative part of God which helps to stable the atmosphere and the environment which surrounds us. Forests generally helps to filter the air pollutants and also provide different goods product for our daily life. But on the other hand people are quite busy in deforestation for their own benefits and have forgotten the importance of fresh environment.

Major cities all around the world are truly experiencing the evil of today. Delhi gets the top ranking through out the world for most dirtiest city followed by Patna, Gwalior, Raipur, Karachi and many more. People are desired to get rid of this evil but unfortunately they cannot do anything magical to bring the environment perfect, back on the right track.

Today on April 22 whole the world is celebrating Worlds Earth Day which was came into action in 1970. Since 1970 every year is followed by different emerging ideas and implementations. Since then hundreds of summits, conferences was organised for the proper implementations. Leaders enroll themselves from different countries around the world and presents themselves for the welfare of the universe. Many NGOs, different organisations has set up for the wide discussion to take relevant initiatives and make the environment pollution free.

Let us unite and plant more trees

Of course the world organisations and the government has been enrolled for the challenge and we all should also required to give our hands for maintaining the integrity and beauty of nature.

How can we contribute:

  • Plant more trees
  • Stop deforestation or cutting of plants
  • Avoid unnecessary use of our personal vehicles
  • Save water
  • Save electricity

We can also contribute and enroll ourselves by making people aware about our limited natural resources on earth.

Theme : Trees for the earth, Let's get planting

Second phase of Odd Even in Delhi

royalworldspark.blogspot.in delhi odd even
Delhi during traffic jam

While we see around, we see mountains, oceans, rivers, falls, monuments who are deliberately lightning the beauty of creature. But same where increasing pollution has become a fear to the beauty of world. Pollution is the biggest threat to the people and we all knew very well that the pollutants comes out from the factories, smoke from the factory and vehicles are the major source. Today Most of the cities are under this evil of pollution and Delhi is among of them. Vehicles on road are leaving the smoke , dust and as well increasing the congestion.
In this perspective the Delhi government has taken the initiative to keep Delhi pollution free and introduced a new phase of Odd Even in the city for almost 15 days. The idea of odd even plan is not only succeeded to end up the pollution but also helps to eradicate the congestion on road. Thousands of vehicles which were running across the city are the reason of busy roads but the odd even scheme played a vital role and lower down the ratio.
The second phase of the odd even scheme in the city begins on April 15 with all its possibilities. The government of Delhi has kept all the reforms in mind and had introduced 1500 more private buses and 680 additional over 4705 Delhi Transport Corporation Buses. Apart from this around 700 buses will give their service for the schools. Delhi Metro has also increased the number of trains, as most of the people are likely to visit by Metro in order to follow the odd even scheme.
Delhi Police active during Odd Even

People of Delhi liked the government scheme very well and followed odd even. This will also helps to eradicate the mishaps on the roads.

Relaxation for the people:

Special relaxation for the disabled people and the students has been maintained. Vehicle with the student in uniform will let go with any of the number plate before 8 a.m.
Whosoever is not following the odd even will be comply with the fine of Rs 2000 /.
Delhi government had deployed more policemen on road during the peak time. Chief Minister Mr Arvind Kejriwal had thanked the people to be volunteer and interestingly followed the new step with government.

More Point to view out:
  • Of course the scheme is for the goodwill of the state but few of the angry cases were also seen easily while on the road. People generally have single vehicle to visit their jobs is the single helpline for them in this crowd city. But due to odd even they are suffering a lot. They are supposed to drive their own vehicle on alternate days.
  • People got the relaxation to drop their children at school but only if the students are in uniform before 8 am, but what about the pick.
  • The city is full of population, here bus and metro are the major source of travel now but the figures are limited.
  • The construction around the road, renovation of pipe lines are distracting the uninterrupted travel.                                                                                                                         These are the few points which the scheme lack with and government has to rectify these all before launching the next phase of the odd even in future.

Nalwar Fair, Boon or Bane for Cattle

Fair and festival is life and light of the nation. These fairs have a very special reason to celebrate and hides a story behind them. Nalwar fair is also one of them. The fair is celebrated in different places at the time for  harvesting of crops. Bilaspur, Sundernagar, Sandhole etc are few of the famous places to celebrate the occasion. It is the time when crops are cultivated and harvested in the month of April and May. Oxen plays a crucial role in farming specially in hilly areas where cultivation without them is equal to impossible.

The fair is specially meant for the cattle to be brought and sold. Farmers from different parts of the state come over there with their oxen, sold their own and have a new pair according to their will and need. Before purchasing they try several methods like the physic and the alertness of the animal.

Inauguration of Sandhole Nalwar Fair, 2016

By the passage of the time, everything has now been changed. Oxen has now been replaced by the science and technology in the form of machines like tractors, threshing machines, harrows etc. Farmers who have been feeding millions, at present have become and idle and living in lurch. Of course science has brought wonder in our life, in fact the inventions of science has given a great relief to the farmer. They now have easy mean of ploughing their fields, growing good harvests and ripping them through the invented fertilizers and machines and yielding more and more. The grievances of the farmer are the unaffordable roles of tractors, thrashers and some times non available of good seeds and fertilizers in the stores. They feel helpless before the adamancy of the owner of the tractor for their own made sale.

Though the land of Sandhole is enough fertile still the farmers are showing their disinterest towards the agriculture due to lack of irrigation. Many land can be seen uncultivated at different places and oxen like once we were proud to have become stray and shulterless. Now the farmers from far places come and leave their oxen in the fair for dying of thirst and hunger. Such incidence are giving the reason why Nalwar fair is loosing its familiarity in surroundings and slowly and shortly leading to be closed.

People who leave their animals for dying are not only culprit of the constitution but also the culprit of God. The problem of stray animals are in the notice of government and government is paying attention to it by opening cowshed in different places. Of course the government has taken the initiative but a proper implementation is still required.
